Georgia-Pacific Professional Unveils Updated Design for Dixie® PerfecTouch® Cup

Georgia-Pacific Professional is unveiling a fresh new look for its classic Dixie® PerfecTouch® insulated paper cup at the Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA) event, April 11-14, in Boston, Mass. The new “Coffee Haze” design offers an attractive cup option for both consumers and foodservice operators, while addition of the Sustainable Forestry Initiative® (SFI®) Chain of Custody logo reinforces Georgia-Pacific Professional’s commitment to sustainable forestry and choices for customers.

“Georgia-Pacific Professional’s foodservice team is very excited to launch the new design of our tried and true PerfecTouch cup - a trusted beverage favorite for more than 10 years,” said Christina Cates-Meredith, senior category manager − equity hot cups, for Georgia-Pacific Professional. “Our research indicates that attractiveness and design matter to operators and consumers, and we look forward to showcasing Dixie PerfecTouch as the hot cup choice for the image-conscious specialty coffee industry.”

Available in 8-, 10-, 12-, 16-, 20- and 24-ounce sizes with a variety of lid options, the new design is now offered at retail stores and will be available in the foodservice channel later this year. In addition to the new look and SFI certification labeling, PerfecTouch continues to provide the same benefits as always, including:

· A paper-based cupwith a polyethylene coating and containing approximately 80 percent cellulose fiber by weight

· Built-in insulationwithout containing polystyrene foam

· Easy-grip textureto help reduce the need for sleeves and double cupping

· Recyclablein a commercial recycling facility that accepts paper products with food residue (such facilities may not be available in all areas)

· Compostablein a commercial composting facility with final compost screening capabilities (such facilities may not be available in all areas)
